Yat Fung Kwan is a 25 year old who was born in Hong Kong where he spoke English and Cantonese growing up. Yat grew up playing the piano and now teaches others to play. He enjoys performing too! He had performed with Del Atkins in the Blue Room in Burbank,CA,USA. He had also worked with Kenny G at a recent show in Los Angeles (SEPTEMBER 22, 2018). He had also led the worship by accompanying the choir and playing 2 recitals at the prelude and postlude at Faith Presbyterian Church in Sacramento,CA,USA(Apr 29, 2018) His clients in California were so satisfied that they offered farewell cards for him to take home to Hong Kong. He had also taught in an Academy in California briefly before and had completed a computer engineering degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He compares swimming to growing a business because both are competitive and require a development process. Yat feels that his parents instilled a business sense in him by encouraging him to earn the things that he wanted, such as special toys and other items. Yat was challenged by the competitiveness of the British school system. Yat came to the USA at 19 as a Computer Engineering student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. His favorite classes included ECE391 where he learned to build an operating system with a team of four students. After graduating in 2017, Yat moved to Sacramento with a friend to work on electronics projects. Subsequently, Yat moved to Los Angeles, seeking the big city experience as he was accustomed to in Hong Kong.
