My name is Hillary. I am currently working as a part time english tutor in Scholars Academy in North point. I have been working in this center for more than two years. Apart from that, i had also been private tutors for more than 5 years time. Im fluent in english, cantonese and mandarin. I studde in canada since year 9 and completed my high school and univeristy degree in toronto. Im experienced in teaching different levels of students, including those with special needs. I’m able to provide self-prepared mock papers as to help students get prepared for their exams, in order to achieve good grades.

I am an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hong Kong, ranked #11 globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027, and an advisor at the University of Oxford, UK. I am an international educator with 15+ years of experience across education, academia, and global development. I have worked with leading education nonprofits including Teach For All and Room to Read, and have extensive experience working with children with disabilities and students from diverse learning backgrounds. I work with a wide range of learners—from celebrities and professional athletes to high school, university, and graduate students—helping them develop conversational English, academic and professional writing, communication skills, and confidence. I also provide academic support for high school students, including university and college counselling, as well as guidance for university and graduate-level study. I believe there is no such thing as a “bad student”—only material that has not yet been explained in a way that makes sense to them. Every student learns differently, which is why I curate and tailor my teaching approach, materials, and lessons to each individual’s learning style, goals, and needs. I am also a best-selling children’s book author and was named a Visionary Leader at the World Leaders Summit 2026. Whether you’re looking to build confidence in English, strengthen your academic writing, prepare for university, or simply become a more confident communicator, I’d love to help you reach your goals.
