Besides employing the teaching methods of Direct Method and the CLT method, I also extensively use the Grammar-Translation method. Regarding Geography tutoring, I use a negotiated style: the teacher identifies the general theme of a lesson but the direction of the lesson depends on the students' ideas and contributions. The teacher guides the students on methods and suitable sources of information, but the students decide how to gather information, analyse it and draw conclusions. In this style, the outcomes are not always predictable. Should a student feel that the styles and methods I just mentioned aren't as compatible as they initially thought, I will try my best to adapt.
