I am fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and can hold lessons in any language mentioned. I studied overseas in the US for 3 years, took the rigorous IB program (40/45), have experience tutoring K12 children for around 2 years, and have started a gifted tutoring program for children which trained them to participate in Math Olympiads.

本人在澳洲墨爾本大學獲得生物化學博士學位，畢業後曾在墨爾本大學擔任助教，也曾輔導香港、中國、澳洲等地的中、大學生。本人有超過十年補習經驗，能教授各地高中 (HSC、IB、GCSE、A-Level、DSE) 生物和化學科，和大學程度的生物醫學和基礎化學課程。 本人了解學生的學習困難和弱點，和不同考試的出題方式。教學方法因材施教、循序漸進，幫助學生找出自己的誤解和弱點，鞏固基礎，進而再提升成績。備有簡要講義、也可按學生校內考題編寫題解。本人現為全職補習老師，能靈活安排補習時間，能以全英語、普通話和廣東話授課。 I obtained PhD degree in biochemistry from the University of Melbourne, Australia. After graduation, I worked as teaching assistant in the University of Melbourne and also tutored a number of high school and university students from Australia, Hong Kong and China. I have more than ten years of experience in coaching HSC/IB/GCSE/A-Level/DSE students, and also biomedical and elementary chemistry subjects in University level. My long experience in tutoring enable me to recognize the common misconceptions and mistakes among students, and also the common question types in various public examinations. My personalized teaching techniques will help students to consolidate and build upon foundation, identify and overcome their weaknesses, and develop critical and analytical skills necessary for the success of study. I have prepared a set of succinct handouts and can prepare worked solutions for past examination questions. I am currently a full time private tutor, thus can flexibly arrange time for tutorial. I can teach fluently in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.

I am currently studying computer science with business management in HKUST. Previously, I studied IB in Li Po Chun United World College, and finished IGCSE in Singapore International School. I have achieved third in grade in Singapore International School, and have been strong in the field of mathematics and sciences, achieving A* in normal/ accelerated mathematics and physics, as well 800/800 for SAT Level II Math and 790/800 for SAT Physics. Besides making sure that the theory is understood, my teaching will also have heavy emphasis on the tips and tricks for exams that I personally tried and tested. They will consist of, but not limited to: calculator usage, decoding the question and looking for patterns between exams, etc. I will conduct all lessons in English, although I can speak cantonese and mandarin.

I graduated high school with the International Baccalaureate(IB) bilingual diploma and received a final grade of 42 out of 45. I am currently studying the Bachelor of Physiotherapy at PolyU. I have 3 years experience in tutoring IB, IGCSE and AP Biology. I achieved a grade of 7/7 for Biology and Chemistry Higher Level and Maths AASL in my IB exam. I was also awarded the overall academic scholarship in high school. I competed in a Biological Health Exhibition Competition held by CUHK Faculty of Medicine and received first place. My personal experience on IB and IGCSE enables me to better understand my student’s learning progress and difficulties. I will make my lessons interactive, and explain the content to my students in the simplest way possible to facilitate understanding. I will also teach my students the content with real world examples to facilitate better knowledge application and hence exam techniques. I will adjust my teaching style according to my student’s needs and design personalized learning programs for my students to enhance their learning experience and grades.
