Jasmine Yeung is a highly self-motivated person and is always excited to explore new fields of work and to strive for excellence. She is a fresh graduate in the Honours Bachelors of Arts program at The University of Toronto. She majored in English, and has a double minor in Psychology and Music. As a young individual, she has always been intrigued in the field of education. Thus to pursue her interests, she strives to increase her knowledge in the scholastic field vastly through education and experience from summer jobs and volunteer services. Whether it would be assistance in research work or classroom assistance / teaching, she will gladly submit herself to instructions given. In her high school days, she specifically chose to peruse in areas such as Psychology in order to gain a better insight on the unique cognitive capacity and abilities of individuals. Moreover, throughout high school and university, volunteering in programs and companies that allow for a wide range of training and experience in the areas of teaching was also a central interest. Although experiences in the field of education are limited, she is vastly enthused to make the best use of her knowledge she has acquired previously and is eager to work closely and learn from other professionals and academic researchers in the working environment. Jasmine has partaken in a wide range of different types of activities, which are evident in her trait of all-roundedness. Along with growing up in an international environment, she has facilitated her open-mindedness to global issues and perspectives. Leadership and teamwork traits have been learnt in previous training programs and sporting events, and carrying out volunteer work and community services have allowed her to work with new acquaintances, drawing on and improving her people skills. It also imprints a sense of contribution to the community, which will both aid those around her, and ultimately help her in her learning, and personal growth. Jasmine is studious and hardworking. I am a fluent Cantonese and English speaker with 9 years experiencing living and studying in England. As an experienced and wellrounded tutor with passion and patience in teaching kids, I have been offering tutorial opportunities to students aged from 4 to 22years with different fields of studies such as English Language (including IELTS) and literature, Chinese, Science and Maths. In 2017, I offered a range of learning activities to two 5years old students from Kowloon Tong in order to technically gear themselves up for Primary School (both local and international schools) Interviews and gapfilling learning. Making students to learn actively is never easy, with 5 years experience in tutoring I have confidence to avoid boring lessons as well as to invite students to focus in what they should learn in class. More importantly, I have gained a deep understanding on how parents feel about their kids in learning and acquiring advanced skills in such competitive environment nowadays however any spoonfeeding teaching techniques would not be pursued in my class. I am an undergraduate in Purdue University, studying Computer Engineering and Minoring in IT. I did IGCSE in middle school and IB in highschool and got 37/45; taking HL Math, HL Physics, HL Economics and SL Film studies, SL English and SL Chinese.
