My name is Natalie, and as a recent graduate of King George V School, I will be studying Medicine/Dentistry in Australia. Now the assumption that most make when they hear I’m doing Medicine is that I’m intimidating and intelligent, but believe it or not, I love kids! From organizing English play stations at Tsung Tsin Kindergarten and Farm Road Primary School, to private tutoring offered to students from Primary to Secondary level, as well as currently teaching (part-time) HKDSE English at Ching Kok Secondary School, I base my work on helping students develop a right mindset, work ethic, and setting the foundations needed to excel in their studies. Freshly out of high school and the hectic years of IGCSE and IB, I am all too familiar with the difficulty of juggling various responsibilities, extra-curricular and other commitments that are important to me. During my senior years, I was privileged to be the Head Girl of King George V School, member of the School Council, External Communications and Relations Committee as well as Vice-chairperson of KGV UNICEF, in addition to being part of the Cheerleading, Hockey and Volleyball Team – I believe it is my love for all-rounded education that has shaped me into the efficient and organized tutor I am today. Having obtained 9A* and 1A for IGCSE’s, and an IB predicted of 44/45, I am happy to offer any help for the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Mandarin, Geography and Food Technology. From helping you fulfill study objectives, to providing notes/resources (if applicable), my aim is to grill you until concepts are cemented in your memory and your understanding of the content has surpassed that of your classroom peers. What\'s more, I have always endeavored to be a tutor who encourages you to share, ask questions and even challenge ideas. I would also love to help teach/play with younger children (having volunteered in the Pediatric Ward at Baptist Hospital and worked with students studying in Kindergarten and Primary School), and to make my teaching methods relatable so that it is equal work and equal entertaining. Finally, receiving the HK Princeton Book Award 2015 (excellence in Leadership, extra-curricular and academic pursuits), as well as becoming a member of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, my goal is to not only teach you the academics, but also the lessons I learnt while I was going through school, because these are the most important things you’ll hold onto your future. I am currently a year 2 student studying Medicine. I am an experienced tutor, having taught Math and English at various levels before. I look forward to tutoring Math, English, Biology and Chemistry at various levels and under different curriculums -IB/DSE/GSCE. Aside from being a subject-based tutor, I also offer lessons on public speaking or debate as I have prior debate and public speaking experience in Sing Tao Inter-school Debates and Standard Chartered Public Speaking Contests which are useful since they have helped me improve my eloquence in these languages. Hi, my name is Davis! I am a native english speaker and went to international school for both primary and secondary school so I am familiar with the syllabus/curriculum (e.g GCSE/IB). Additionally, I can also speak Cantonese and mandarin fluently! Before starting at HKU, I spent a year studying in the US at Ohio University where I majored in Aviation, so if there are any students out there interested in aviation I can teach some introductory topics too! I will be happy to tutor english for all levels, as well as GCSE English/Science/History and IB History too.
