I am an experienced tutor with over ten years of experience in the education field in Hong Kong. I started out as a Calculus teaching assistant at Columbia University's Mathematics Department. I have briefly worked at the Edge as an admissions consultant and have been working as a private tutor in Chinese, Maths, and English for more than ten years. My students are mainly international school students in Hong Kong and top notch local school students within the DSE curriculum. I am only interested in part time roles, and my expected salary is 400 per hour, given my experience and skills and credentials as an Ivy League graduate.

I graduated from the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in 2025, taking English Language and Literature HL. I also took the SATs at the age of 14 (Year 9) and scored a 1280/1600. I excel with IBDP English staples such as identifying literary techniques, as well as constructing a high-score analytical essay. Classes can be taken at my apartment complex's clubhouse or online (Zoom/WhatsApp/FaceTime/+). I will work with you to curate the right essay format for every analysis, as well as offer tips to breeze through tough exams such as the oral exam. As you proceed through the year, I will build up from helping you memorise text-type-specific techniques and how to analyse them, to holding unseen text mock tests and identifying areas for improvement in your analysis. My methodology is flexible; as my IBDP experience is very recent, I can adapt to help you hone your English skills where necessary.
