I'm a student at King's College London studying Economics & Management, currently on track for First Class Honours. In Year 12, I was awarded the Economics Prize for consistently achieving top performance in my cohort during mocks and exams. I am a friendly tutor which can provide support for Chemistry and Economics in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. For Economics lessons, they follow a clear, consistent structure designed to build lasting understanding. We start with a 5-minute recap of the previous lesson, ensuring students have a solid foundation before we build on new content. From there, we move into content learning, tailored to where the student is in their studies. For newer topics, we focus first on the underlying economic reasoning — making sure students genuinely understand the "why" before applying it. As students progress closer to their exams, the focus shifts towards essay technique, with heavy emphasis on constructing strong chains of reasoning that can be applied across question types, from 4-markers to 25-mark essays. Having missed an A* by just one mark in Economics at A-Level, and continuing my studies in the field at university, I understand exactly what it takes to close that gap and succeed. We close each lesson with a 5-minute review, recapping key takeaways and leaving space for any questions. Alongside this, I've spent the past year tutoring at a private tutoring centre, where one of my students went on to achieve first in his class for Chemistry exams.
