With a strong foundation in English Studies and a continuous commitment to professional growth, I bring a wealth of experience in English language teaching acquired through diverse roles in Hong Kong and beyond. As a Full-time Native English Teacher at Po Leung Kuk Yip Ng Bun Bun Queen’s Hill Kindergarten and as a Full-time Space Town NET at Poca Wan Ho Kan Primary School, I excelled in managing student behavior and creating engaging lesson plans tailored to different learning levels. My tenure at Gate of Tomorrow Academy in and La Place Primary School honed my ability to implement innovative teaching techniques, resulting in enhanced teaching effectiveness and increased student engagement. I also demonstrated my proficiency in designing and assessing program components to cater to individual classroom needs. Three key characteristics that define effective English teachers include a passion for language and literature, a dedication to continual learning, and empathy towards students, fostering a supportive learning environment. By embodying these traits, I aim to inspire students to excel and develop their language skills effectively. In a recent teaching experience, I implemented a reading program that encouraged students to explore diverse genres and analyze texts critically. Through this initiative, I observed a significant improvement in students' comprehension and analytical skills, fostering a love for reading among them. Additionally, by incorporating creative writing assignments, I witnessed students enhancing their writing skills while expressing their thoughts more cohesively and creatively. Furthermore, I actively promoted English listening skills by incorporating interactive listening exercises and audio materials into lessons. This approach not only improved students' ability to comprehend spoken English but also enhanced their overall communication skills. I am enthusiastic about the prospect of contributing my expertise and passion for nurturing literacy habits in different environments, confident that my background and dedication will positively impact students' learning experiences.
