I am a passionate tutor keen to share my experience and knowledge in IB and SAT exams, as well as general English writing and literature to primary and secondary students in Hong Kong. I graduated from Yale University in 2019 with Distinction in History and took classes on a wide range of humanities and arts topics, such as “Reading and Writing the Modern Essay” and “European Intellectual History Since Nietzsche”. I have also worked in various research, education, and administrative roles since graduating. I have had extensive experience in education, having served as a mentor and teacher at various youth centres in Hong Kong, including the Unison HK and Boys’ and Girls’ Club Association of Hong Kong in Tsz Wan Shan. After university, I worked for a tutoring company in the U.S. and taught both individual and group classes in the subjects of Essay Writing and English Literature for students based in mainland China. As a tutor, I emphasize creativity, independent thinking and deep mastery of the subject. I find teaching students deeply rewarding, and am constantly challenged and impressed by my students’ capacity for learning and desire to improve.
