Since I was young, I've been interested in linguistics, so I have learnt Chinese, Cantonese, English and some French. I also have degrees in Geography, Urban Planning and an undergraduate certificate in GIS. 我的教學經歷使我獲得了不同的經歷：志願擔任在線英語導師，在那裡我有幸分別與兩名烏克蘭難民一起工作，以及在香港的一家非營利組織擔任粵語志願者教師助理，與少數族裔接觸。我對地理和英語科目的教學理念是圍繞著個人化學習。我根據每個學生的獨特需求和願望設計課程，培養對話能力和文化理解。我還擁有地理學、城市規劃學位和 GIS 本科證書。 My teaching journey has led me to diverse experiences: volunteering as an online English tutor, where I had the privilege of working with two Ukrainian refugees separately and serving as a volunteer teacher’s assistant for Cantonese at a nonprofit in Hong Kong, engaging with ethnic minorities. My teaching philosophy for the subjects of Geography and English revolves around personalized learning. I design lessons tailored to each student's unique needs and aspirations, fostering conversational abilities and cultural understanding. 作為一名導師，我採用直接教學法等教學方式，隨著課堂的進行糾正錯誤並提供鼓勵，讓學生沉浸在英語學習體驗中，以及交際語言教學風格，因為我希望學生能夠儘快將他們在課堂上學到的東西應用到現實生活中。除了採用直接方法和 CLT 方法的教學方法外，我還廣泛使用語法翻譯方法。至於教地理課方面，我會采用協商式風格：教師確定課程的總體主題，但課程的方向取決於學生的想法和貢獻。教師指導學生學習方法和適當的資訊來源，但學生決定如何收集資訊、分析資訊並得出結論。在這種風格下，結果並不總是可預測的。如果學生覺得我剛才提到的風格和方法不像他們最初想像的那麼相容，我會盡我所能適應。最後，請不要猶豫，與我聯繫。 As a tutor, I employ teaching styles like the Direct Method teaching style, correcting mistakes and offering encouragement as the class progresses, so that the student will be soaked up in the English learning experience, and Communicative Language Teaching style, because I hope students would be able to use the things they learned in class in real-life as soon as possible. Besides employing the teaching methods of Direct Method and the CLT method, I also extensively use the Grammar-Translation method. Regarding Geography tutoring, I use a negotiated style: the teacher identifies the general theme of a lesson but the direction of the lesson depends on the students' ideas and contributions. The teacher guides the students on methods and suitable sources of information, but the students decide how to gather information, analyse it and draw conclusions. In this style, the outcomes are not always predictable. Should a student feel that the styles and methods I just mentioned aren't as compatible as they initially thought, I will try my best to adapt.
