CUHK Electronic Engineering Student | IB & IGCSE Specialist About Me: My name is Martin, and I am a third-year Electronic Engineering student at CUHK with a Minor in Business. As an enthusiastic and patient educator, my goal is to build a highly supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My Academic Background: I am an IB graduate with a strong track record in rigorous international curricula. In my IB diploma, I achieved 6s in Mathematics HL, Physics HL, Film HL, Economics SL, and Chinese B SL. Prior to that, my IGCSE results included an A* in Chinese, an A in Mathematics, an AA in Coordinated Sciences (Double Award), and an A in First Language English. Having navigated these challenging exams myself, I am very familiar with the strategies, study habits, and problem-solving approaches required to succeed. My Teaching Experience: I bring substantial experience tutoring both one-on-one and in group settings. As a private tutor for Primary 3, Primary 5, and Year 9 students, I specialize in continuously assessing student performance to curate custom lesson plans that target struggling areas while advancing existing strengths. Furthermore, as a final-year IB student, I was selected to co-lead weekly after-school tutoring sessions, where I taught and mentored classes of up to 20 IGCSE and first-year IB students.
