［自我介紹］ 您好！我係樂桐老師！香港土生土長。幼稚園到中學就讀本地學校。係二零二零年公開試後考入英國約克大學攻讀語言系學士學位。 現居英國。自二零二五年六月就任廣東話英語翻譯員一職（自顧）。自二零二五年十月就任中小學教學助理一職。 ［理念］ ·學習可以係有趣嘅 · 人人都可以將學習變成終身興趣 ·英語係現時全球通用語。如果可以掌握英語，就可以把握多啲機會。 ［教學］ 雖然暫時未有豐富嘅教學經驗，但我好希望可以啟發到更多人去學習。暫時會專註喺小學全科（特別係英文）同英語會話。我會根據學生嘅能力同埋喜好去制定學習計劃。以下係一個課堂例子： 0-10分鐘：打招呼及五分鐘簡單冥想去訓練學生專註力 11-30分鐘：解答功課或對卷 31-40分鐘：英語語音 （如上英文堂） 41-55分鐘：文法或寫作技巧或聆聽技巧 如上英文堂） 56-60分鐘：問題同講再見！ [Self-introduction] Hi there! My name is Miss Sandy! Here is a bit about myself! I was born and bred in Hong Kong! I completed my primary and secondary school studies at local schools, so I am fluent in Cantonese! After completing the HKDSE in 2020, I moved to the UK to pursue a degree in Linguistics. I have been living in the UK for almost six years now. Since June 2025, I have been working as a freelance Cantonese-English interpreter. This role really allows me to polish my language skills. On top of that, I began my role as a supply teaching assistant in both primary and secondary schools in October 2025. I was lucky enough to have two long-term roles at two primary schools in York from January to July 2026. It is such a rewarding role as I got to inspire children to achieve their potential. [My vision] * I believe language learning can be fun! * Anyone can a lifelong learner! * Making learning fun is the most sustainable way to learn. * Since English is the Lingua franca in this day and age, mastering it means opening oneself to more opportunities (travelling, studying and working abroad, and more!). [Tutoring] Although I don’t have much tutoring experience yet, I am passionate about inspiring people to learn! Apart from English, I am confident in tutoring all the subjects taught in Hong Kong primary schools. Every student will get a study plan tailored to their likes and strengths. No one size fits all! Here is an example of my lesson plan: 0-10 min: Check-in (asking students how they are doing) and a quick 5-min meditation to help them stay focused) 11-30 min: Questions on homework/ test and exam review 31-40 min: Phonics practice (for English classes) 41-55 min: Grammar/ writing and listening skills 56-60 min: Final questions and Goodbye!
