After graduating from Queens College, Hong Kong, I went to the UK to further my studies in English Literature, Language and Linguistics in the University of Southampton. For my bachelors degree, not only have I been taken into the literary world, I have focused on how English Language works on the linguistic and cultural levels. In-between each academic year, I spent my time in Italy teaching children and teenagers English through theatre and play. Following my graduation, I have decided to improve my knowledge on English once again in all aspects by finishing a masters degree on English Studies in the University of Nottingham. Whilst I was in the UK, I also have completed the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages accredited by the University of Cambridge. I am currently teaching English in a tertiary education institute. With the above qualifications, I am confident to teach written English, but also spoken English, including phonics and phonetics in both English and American accents. I believe all of my academic and vocational backgrounds have equipped me well enough to provide an excellent tutoring experience to my students, and at the same time maintain an effective liaison with the parents and students.
