My enthusiasm of studying science is motivated by one of my friends in secondary school. I have been fortunate enough that I have such a great classmate who profoundly affected me and shared the same interest with me in machines. We always break up toys, construct new toys and try to make them work again. That is really amazing to know the operations of machines. I am curious and creative in science, therefore novel machines always attract my attention. For example, I am fascinated by a recent invention called "Air multiplier”. It is a fan without blades designed by James Dyson.This machine arouses my interest in fluid dynamic. Moreover, the legendary “Wooden Ox” created by Zhuge Liang and “Overbalanced-Wheel” designed by Da Vinci are both captivated me in contemplation of perpetual motion, where the scientists presumes the principle is only idealistic but unrealistic. Through starting up the research can we realize the fact in the conflict. I believe conducting researches is of paramount importance to innovation. Therefore, when I was in secondary school, I started up a research project about perpetual motion with my classmate in Hong Kong Student Science Project and Competition. By taking part in competitions, I can apply the theory we have learnt into real practices. Apart from the science project mentioned above, I have taken part in City Fire-Straw Competition 2011 and Young Inventor 2012, which are a list of illustrations of how I as a creative man to show my talent. With the accumulated experience of competition and knowledge from books, now I can apply them to my engineering final year project. In considering what the ladder climbing robot needs, I put the theory of inline-four engine and relativity in the arm climbing system to my mechanical design part. It is inspiring for me to design and improve the mechanical system everyday. Through my experience, my students can have an alternative way to learn mathematics. Furthermore, my mathematics results in primary school are excellent. Among those examinations, I always get full mark because of my incredible calculation speed. I am really confident that my students are easy to handle mathematics after my lessons. Finally, I sincerely hope there is a chance for me to make more students become success.
