I studied law (LLB 2018; PCLL 2019) at Kings College London (UK) and the University of Hong Kong. I am passionate to prepare local and international students for English, IELTS, IB/GCE Economics and/or IB/IGCSE/GCE Mathematics as well as offer career guidance to aspired law students. Before university, I attended St. Paul’s Co-educational College in Hong Kong and later Canford School in the United Kingdom, where I achieved 2 A*s and 3 As for my GCE. I am currently studying computer science with business management in HKUST. Previously, I studied IB in Li Po Chun United World College, and finished IGCSE in Singapore International School. I have achieved third in grade in Singapore International School, and have been strong in the field of mathematics and sciences, achieving A* in normal/ accelerated mathematics and physics, as well 800/800 for SAT Level II Math and 790/800 for SAT Physics. Besides making sure that the theory is understood, my teaching will also have heavy emphasis on the tips and tricks for exams that I personally tried and tested. They will consist of, but not limited to: calculator usage, decoding the question and looking for patterns between exams, etc. I will conduct all lessons in English, although I can speak cantonese and mandarin.

I am currently a year 2 student studying Medicine. I am an experienced tutor, having taught Math and English at various levels before. I look forward to tutoring Math, English, Biology and Chemistry at various levels and under different curriculums -IB/DSE/GSCE. Aside from being a subject-based tutor, I also offer lessons on public speaking or debate as I have prior debate and public speaking experience in Sing Tao Inter-school Debates and Standard Chartered Public Speaking Contests which are useful since they have helped me improve my eloquence in these languages. I am fluent in English, Cantonese, Putonghua, Tagalog and Fukien; I am interested in tutoring students to better learn those languages so that they can become more fluent. I also offer piano lessons, having completed Grade 8 and winning multiple competitions like the Hong Kong Youth Piano Competition.

Teaching economics is my favourite job. I have taught students economics for 5 years. With the experience in assisting development on economic textbook, I am able to teach both examination skills and knowledge for getting higher grades and achieving their own goal. IB, HKDSE students are welcome.

My name is Charmaine. Although I was born in HK, I moved to Beijing at the age of 12 and attended international school since. I am therefore fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. I began tutoring since high school. I was a one-to-one tutor on various subjects, teacher assistant for language classes, and an English teacher at local primary schools.
