Hello! I'm Carla and I am a final-year medical student at the University of Bristol and a native English speaker who has grown up and been educated in the UK. With a strong academic background and great communication skills, I am confident that I can provide engaging, tailored tutoring to help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I am able to offer personalised guidance for medical school applications, including admissions advice and interview preparation. I have previously mentored a student through the medical school application process, who successfully secured a place to study Medicine at the University of Nottingham. I also have previous experience in tutoring GCSE and A-Level maths and science. I'll be based in Hong Kong until the end of September and am available for in-person tutoring during this time. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Shanxi Normal University, a Master’s Degree in TESOL from the University of Leeds (with Merit), and have recently completed an IBDP Certificate in Language and Literature A from the University of Toronto, alongside a CLIL-focused programme at the University of Hong Kong. These qualifications reflect my dedication to both theoretical knowledge and practical application in language teaching, and fully meet the requirement for a recognised degree and postgraduate training in education. I am a 24‑year‑old graduate of BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering from PolyU, taught fully in English. I am patient and approachable, and I enjoy helping students break down problems into clear, manageable steps. My teaching style focuses on building strong problem‑solving skills and exam confidence. Personal achievements: I received a full‑tuition merit scholarship at PolyU and earned Gold Medals in both GCE A‑Levels (straight As in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and GCE O‑Levels (straight A*s/A in 9 subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies, etc).
