Hi, I am a 20 year old IB graduate, currently studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I primarily teach in English, and I am relatively patient. I've learned that different people have different approaches to solving problems, that's why I always try to put myself in the shoes of people I teach, or at least try to understand their way of thinking first, as I find that this more often than not makes it easier for both parties; by helping me to guide them to a solution in a more efficient and effective manner. My final IB grades are good, scoring 6 across all my subjects with the exception of History, which was a 5. I also have taken the IELTS exam, which resulted in an overall score of 8.0. The scores I attained for the other categories in IELTS are as follows: Speaking (9.0), Listening (8.5), Reading (8.0), Writing (7.0). In addition, I have passed grade 6 of the ABRSM exam for the violin. Although I have no prior official tutoring experience, I have volunteered to teach english and reading in high school to other students in lower grades, and as an elective, I opted to teach the basics of filmmaking to other students during my last couple of years of high school. Since I am currently in college, a unique advantage is that my schedule is generally open and quite flexible, and I can respond via text message or email at most hours of the day.
