Matthew Tai is a Hong Kong–born composer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter studying Theory and Composition at New York University. He earned an ATCL diploma with distinction in cello at a young age, served as principal cellist in multiple orchestras, and performed as a concerto soloist with his high school orchestra. Prior to studying film scoring at New York University, he worked with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he began focusing on screen scoring and composition, including writing and arranging for string quartets and ensembles. As an experienced composer, he has collaborated with filmmakers to score award-winning short films. Matthew 是香港出生的作曲家、多樂器演奏家及詞曲創作人，現於紐約大學主修作曲與音樂理論。他自幼以優異成績取得大提琴 ATCL 文憑，曾於多個樂團擔任首席大提琴，並於中學時期與樂團合作擔任協奏曲獨奏。 在入讀紐約大學修讀電影配樂前，他曾與香港演藝學院合作，並逐漸專註於影像配樂及作曲，為弦樂四重奏及不同編制樂團創作與編曲。作為一位經驗豐富的作曲家，他曾與多位電影製作人合作，為多部獲獎短片創作配樂。
