[Basic situation] Education: 19-year old, first year chemistry undergraduate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as a non-local student. Background: Culturally diverse background (Japanese/ Korean mix, educated at an international high school in Sri Lanka) Therefore, fluent in 3 languages, Japanese, Korean and English. I enjoy interacting with students, especially kindergartens and primary school students. I am patient, caring, friendly, and willing to teach. I can share tips and strategies on how to study effectively. [Personal achievements] I have excellent grades in A levels and I scored A* in 4 subjects: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. [Teaching and tutoring experience] I have no prior official tutoring experience, however I have been helping out my brother who is just 2 years younger than me do his homework. In high school, I have also volunteered as an after-school caregiver for children aged 3-5. I managed small groups, engaged them in interactive activities and read some English books to build early literacy.
