I am a Year 3 Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Hong Kong and an IB Diploma graduate from the Canadian International School in Singapore. I achieved an IB score of 40/45 and was awarded the IB Bilingual Diploma, with Grade 7 in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches HL, Physics HL, and Chemistry HL. I also achieved Grade 6 in Economics SL and Chinese A: Language and Literature SL, as well as Grade B in both my Mathematics Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. I have experience providing private and small-group tutoring to school students. During secondary school, I also founded and led a Science Club, where I taught scientific concepts to junior students through clear explanations and engaging activities. My teaching approach focuses on genuine understanding rather than memorization. I break complex concepts and problems into manageable steps, identify each student’s areas for improvement, and encourage students to develop independent problem-solving skills. As a Computer Science student with experience in Python, Java, and C++, I can also support students in introductory programming and computational thinking. With my background in Computer Science and practical experience with artificial intelligence, I understand both the capabilities and limitations of modern AI tools. Where appropriate, I can teach students how to use AI responsibly as a supplementary learning tool—for example, to clarify concepts, generate targeted practice questions, and receive feedback on their reasoning—rather than simply relying on it for answers. I also emphasize independent thinking, source verification, and academic integrity. I am comfortable teaching in English and Mandarin, and I am particularly well suited to IB Mathematics AA, Physics, Chemistry, general Science, and introductory programming. Lessons can be adapted for concept revision, homework support, examination preparation, and past-paper practice.
