Hello all! I am a native English and Cantonese speaker, fluent in Mandarin. I grew up in Hong Kong, Uganda and the UK, and graduated from Newcastle University (UK) in 2026 with a BSc in Physiological Sciences, taught entirely in English. I teach conversational English for beginners, secondary students and adults. My goal is to help students feel confident speaking English, while improving their grammar and pronunciation naturally through real conversation. Personal achievements: BSc Physiological Sciences, Newcastle University (2026). Trilingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I am also learning German myself, so I understand how it feels to be a nervous beginner in a new language. Teaching/tutoring experience: I have previous experience tutoring English, helping students improve their speaking, grammar and pronunciation. This has taught me to spot common mistakes quickly and explain them in a clear, simple way. I now focus on conversational English because I believe confidence in speaking is the foundation for everything else. I have also volunteered in children’s ministry at church, where I led activities and guided children in group settings, so I am comfortable with younger learners, and I equally enjoy speaking with adults. Personal advantage: Relaxed, patient lessons where mistakes are welcome. Plenty of speaking practice on everyday topics and things students actually care about. For adults, lessons can be built around work, travel or daily life. Gentle correction of grammar and pronunciation as we talk. I can explain difficult points in Cantonese or Mandarin when beginners need extra support.
