I come from a technical background with a strong interest in programming and electronics. During my last internship with TownGas, I was honored to participate in an underground piping project which encouraged me to gain further insight into China’s piping network. By being a part in the team, I have learned various ways of digital monitor techniques for underground pipes and several integrated methods to maintain the quality of piping. I was able to appreciate how engineers can play an active role in alleviating environmental concerns in highly urbanized cities, such as adapting to extreme weather systems, including earthquakes.
