I am currently a Year Two Electrical and Electronic Engineering Student studying at the University of Nottingham. During my last internship with TownGas, I was honored to participate in an underground piping project which encouraged me to gain further insight into China’s piping network. By being a part in the team, I have learned various ways of digital monitor techniques for underground pipes and several integrated methods to maintain the quality of piping. I was able to appreciate how engineers can play an active role in alleviating environmental concerns in highly urbanized cities, such as adapting to extreme weather systems, including earthquakes. Hi! My name’s Kristine, I recently finished my Associate Degree of Bilingual Communication Studies (Spanish and English) from UOW College. In coming September 2021, I will be continuing my studies in City University of Hong Kong as a year 3 student, majoring in English Language. I am a native English Speaker, born in the Philippines but raised in Hong Kong. In 2018, I achieved the highest score of A* in GCSE. In this year of 2021, I succeeded an overall score of 7.5 in IELTS, scoring 8.5 in reading individually. As a passionate English major student, I aim to teach my students as per their needs and parents’ requests. Teaching materials can be according to students’ school textbooks and exercises, or the ones I recommend. I also make notes to students when needed or required. Being a volunteer teacher is my only past experience in the education field. I have done storytelling and taught local primary students creative writing and speaking skills, and as well as peers who have had grammar or vocabulary problems etc. Giving answers is not my way of teaching, explanation is a must and will be given accordingly.
