My name is Davy, I graduated from the British School of Guangzhou and is currently studying Hotel & Tourism Management in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. All of my grades in IGCSE were A and A*, while my grades in A level were ABCC. I have achieved the IELTS grade of 7.5, with 8 in the reading, listening and speaking sections. I have had multiple internships in various corporations, including Shangri-La Hotel, the China Construction Bank and a law firm. Furthermore, I was the chairman of the NordStar Fund in my school, which is a charity committee. In addition to the above, I have worked as the teaching assistant in various swimming programs.

本人自2016年起留學英國，留學英國前數學科曾獲3個中學學年全級第一，物理，化學均獲得全級前十名的佳績。此後在英國留學中學，報考GCE A-level，數學科獲得A*成績（相等於HKDSE數學科5**）。其中C3C4平均分更達到99.5UMS，相等於全英國前0.5%的學生水平。而物理科也成功考取相當於HKDSE5級的成績。其後轉至英國名校University of Manchester修讀工程，於2021年畢業。我獨特的升學路程令我對香港的數學教育與英國的數學教育都有著充分的認知和理解，故此我希望能夠盡自己所長，幫助更多數學盒物理上有困難得學生。加上我留學英國的經歷也令我的英文能力比較突出。

I am a British Chinese who has recently relocated from London to Hong Kong, after spending nearly 20 years living in the UK. I am a multi-talented individual who are good at sciences and arts. I am trilingual (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) and good at languages but my preferred language is English. I have a strong British cultural background where I am confident that through my tutoring, students can be influenced to become more creative in their learning process. I have gained many qualifications in arts: Grade 8 in Piano, Grade 7 in Singing, Grade 8 in Ballet and Grade 1 in Violin. All qualifications were gained in the United Kingdom. I am particularly keen in teaching English (spoken and classwork) to students at all levels. I also teach piano in English where students can learn piano as well as to learn English at the same time. A nutritionist by background, I received education in the UK since GCSE and am familiar with the education system there. I also completed a first Bachelor Degree in Nutrition at the University of Surrey, then completed a Masters Degree (MSc) in Public Health Nutrition from the London Metropolitan University, and recently received another Masters Degree (MSc) in Public Health from the London South Bank University. I have a very sound education background and can set an example to many students in Hong Kong. Having studied in Hong Kong in the past, I understand the core value of Chinese families when it comes to education. I am into interactive based teaching and learning methods, and am passionate about the wellbeing and learning attitudes of children. I truly believe that, learning about anything isn't just about learning the subject itself, it is about the discipline and process of learning, as well as developing interests whilst learning.
