I am an experienced English teacher and tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience across Hong Kong and mainland China, as well as in the UK. I currently work in a secondary school in London and have taught across primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary levels, including GCSE, IGCSE, and IB English. Alongside my teaching career, I specialise in supporting students with reading comprehension, analytical writing, and exam preparation. I have extensive experience teaching IB English as well as UK exam board specifications, helping students to develop the skills and strategies needed to succeed in formal assessments. I have also held roles as Head of English, which has given me a strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and how to support students in making clear and sustained progress over time. I am a patient and supportive teacher who builds strong relationships with students, while also maintaining high expectations for effort, focus, and achievement. My aim is to help students become confident, independent learners who can express their ideas clearly and perform well in exams.
