I’m 22 years old and currently studying for a Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). I am Irish with a Chinese background. Before coming to Hong Kong, I studied Architecture at Southeast University in Nanjing. English is my native language, and I am also fluent in standard Mandarin (Putonghua), which I learned independently. [Personality] I enjoy having conversations and am very talkative, probably a reason why I chose to part-time tutor IELTS Speaking. I am very optimistic, patient, and easy to chat with. My lessons are full of laughter, and you get to feel relaxed despite being in a lesson. [English and Mandarin Lessons] This means lessons can be conducted primarily in English, with Mandarin assistance whenever necessary, particularly when explaining vocabulary, sentence structure, or more difficult concepts. *I am still trying to learn Cantonese; therefore, I can't provide lessons in Cantonese. [Experience] I began gaining IELTS teaching experience at the age of 16. At 19 I became an assistant tutor in IELTS Speaking.
