My name is Kevin, and I am currently a Year 2 BBA (Honors) student majoring in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Management at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). I am a very physically active person who actively play sports like Table Tennis throughout my childhood until now, and gym for physical wellness. I was born and raised in Peru, where I attended Markham College, a prestigious British International School, building a native foundation in both Spanish and English. I later moved to Hong Kong to complete my secondary education under the local DSE curriculum. I am naturally patient and caring, and I can deliberately channel an enthusiastic, extroverted persona during lessons to keep young learners engaged. Since my Cantonese is not fluent, classes will be conducted mostly in ENGLISH. This can help prevent students from falling back on Cantonese translations, encouraging them to communicate in English and building up their speaking confidence. What I Provide for My Students (Primary to Lower-Middle Secondary): • Custom Learning Materials: I can help personalize notes, vocabulary builders, and reading exercises based on the student's weaknesses. • Exam & Dictation Strategies: Due to my high capabilities in English Writing, I can help fix common grammatical mistakes and provide useful writing cues. • Oral fluency: I can help students improve their pronunciation, clarity and even coach upcoming DSE English Speaking students on their speaking presentations, group interactions and individual responses. Preferred Locations: I commute daily between Yuen Long / Long Ping and Ho Man Tin (HKMU). I am highly available for in-person lessons at any station directly along the Tuen Ma Line (including Ho Man Tin, Austin, Nam Cheong, and Tsuen Wan West) right after my university classes and lectures or during the weekends.
