Hello! My name is Lucy. I am a Canadian who is now studying Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Hong Kong. I am quite fluent in Mandarin (still working on my Cantonese though). I have had many years of extensive teaching experience with students from elementary school up to senior high (in both group class and VIP). I worked as an English instructor at several educational centers in both Canada and China. I would say that I am a very passionate and responsible teacher who loves teaching English Language & literature along with some other subjects as mentioned in my "teaching experience" column. To me, I consider teaching quality and the active participation of students as the two most important factors in producing the best results in students' performance. As a result, many students of mine improved enormously at school. At the same time, I have a habit of making individualized study plans for every student so that they can directly receive help in their weak areas and eventually achieve their final goals. In this way, not only the student can track down the improvements he/she is making, but also I as an instructor can accordingly make helpful adjustments to the plan whenever it is needed.
