Edwin Lam graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts(HKAPA), majoring viola performance with Mr. Ray Tsoi. Edwin has received the Grantham Scholarship, HKSAR Government Scholarship in 2013 and Y.S. Liu Foundation Scholarship in 2014. As an orchestral player, Edwin was the Viola Principal of the Asian Youth Orchestra in the year 2013, 2014 and Viola Principal of the Kent Blossom Chamber Orchestra in 2015. Apart from orchestral playing, Edwin is also very interested in chamber music playing. As an active chamber musician, he has had masterclasses with the Endellion Quartet, Szymanowski Quartet, Miami Quartet and Shanghai Quartet.
