My name is Natalie, and as a recent graduate of King George V School, I will be studying Medicine/Dentistry in Australia. Now the assumption that most make when they hear I’m doing Medicine is that I’m intimidating and intelligent, but believe it or not, I love kids! From organizing English play stations at Tsung Tsin Kindergarten and Farm Road Primary School, to private tutoring offered to students from Primary to Secondary level, as well as currently teaching (part-time) HKDSE English at Ching Kok Secondary School, I base my work on helping students develop a right mindset, work ethic, and setting the foundations needed to excel in their studies. Freshly out of high school and the hectic years of IGCSE and IB, I am all too familiar with the difficulty of juggling various responsibilities, extra-curricular and other commitments that are important to me. During my senior years, I was privileged to be the Head Girl of King George V School, member of the School Council, External Communications and Relations Committee as well as Vice-chairperson of KGV UNICEF, in addition to being part of the Cheerleading, Hockey and Volleyball Team – I believe it is my love for all-rounded education that has shaped me into the efficient and organized tutor I am today. Having obtained 9A* and 1A for IGCSE’s, and an IB predicted of 44/45, I am happy to offer any help for the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Mandarin, Geography and Food Technology. I am an outgoing and energetic person. I enjoy sharing happy things and talking to people about a variety of things. I can be quiet at first, but once you get to know me, I don’t shut up. I love to laugh about some interesting things, but I will become serious when it come to some formal or important situation. 曾就讀聖保羅男女中學，畢業於啟新書院，在瑞典留學一年，可謂體驗過本地傳統學校、國際學校、與外國的教育。語文對個人成長、學習和工作都有很深遠的影響。我希望透過有趣的方式，令其他人享受學習語言的過程。 我曾十分討厭英語，但其後發現，學習語言不是要對著書本背生字、不需要有特定的口音。語言可以溝通，可以帶我們到外面的世界，得到新的想法。那當然，怎樣也要應用在學科上面。只是抱著這樣的心態，學習變得有趣，生字、文法，更容易掌握，事半功倍。

Virginia has a strong passion for teaching and learning. Her mission is to provide opportunities for students to make music they love and to proceed at their own pace individually and to develop wider musical skills by small theory games (in the case of teaching children and beginners). Meanwhile, Virginia has been giving onetoone tuition students of all ages and levels, in subjects such as Mathematics and Chemistry. She teaches in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She also has solid classroom teaching experiences, notably acquired through teaching English in Summer Schools in Guangzhou, China in 2012. Music Qualifications / Achievements: - Virginia is currently a masters student majoring in composition at King’s College London, under the supervision of Professor Silvina Milstein. Previously also an undergraduate at King's, Virginia graduated with firstclass honours in music. She studied violin with Nicolas Dupont and Georgia Hannant through the King's College London ℳ Royal Academy of Music joint performance programme. Prior to her music degrees, Virginia was awarded a distinction in Grade 8 Violin, following with a DipABRSM performance Diploma one year later - Primary as a violinist, Virginia has played in a variety of orchestras including University of London Symphony Orchestra, King's College London Symphony Orchestra, and Asian Youth Orchestra. As well as orchestral playing, Virginia enjoys playing in smaller groups notably with the KCLMMS sinfonietta. Virginia has also earned ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and music theory. She is also an erhu player who previously studied with Professor Colin Huehns at the Royal Academy of Music - Additionally, Virginia is a young composer whose goal is to spread the enjoyment of musicmaking through writing pieces using a comprehensible, engaging musical language. She is keen to transfer her passions to her audiences. She was very fortunate to be studying composition under Robert Keeley and Edward Nesbit - Aside from composing and performing, Virginia has more than threeyears of experience in arts administration.
