Hello students and parents, I am Esther, a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge. My bachelor’s degree was in Education and History. I also studied Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology. I have been tutoring for a year, focusing on English, English Literature and History. I use a range of teaching methods: for younger students I draw on storytelling, inquiry and arts-based methodologies, and for older students I set supplementary reading for discussions and I help them understand the epistemology (i.e. how knowledge is created) of their subject. I studied GCSEs (8A*, 3A) and the IB (43/45 points) at an international school in Hong Kong. My IB subjects are English, Chinese, Maths, History, Psychology and Biology. I have work experience at an international school in Hong Kong and I am currently training to be a nature-based educator. I study pottery and Portuguese on the side.
