I am Ethel. I have gone abroad to UK for my sixth form which have broaden my horizon for my style of learning and my English speaking. So I hope when I teach, I truly want students to fully understand the concept and raise their when dealing difficulties with their problems or concern to be raised. I have a lot of extra curricular activities and interests such as dancing, drama and so on which would probably be easier to interact with them either using English or Chinese, and they will be able to learn more effectively besides books when they lose concentration during lessons. I am a passionate tutor keen to share my experience and knowledge in IB and SAT exams, as well as general English writing and literature to primary and secondary students in Hong Kong. I graduated from Yale University in 2019 with Distinction in History and took classes on a wide range of humanities and arts topics, such as “Reading and Writing the Modern Essay” and “European Intellectual History Since Nietzsche”. I have also worked in various research, education, and administrative roles since graduating. I have had extensive experience in education, having served as a mentor and teacher at various youth centres in Hong Kong, including the Unison HK and Boys’ and Girls’ Club Association of Hong Kong in Tsz Wan Shan. After university, I worked for a tutoring company in the U.S. and taught both individual and group classes in the subjects of Essay Writing and English Literature for students based in mainland China.
